Morning in Ubud

After what had felt like an eternity cooped up in the room with a bug, it was time for my daughter and I to have a little wander around our local neighbourhood.
It felt nice to feel the sun on my face again, the heat on my skin, and hear the sound of running water all around in the rice paddy fields.
I felt a little dazed after not having been out in the world for a little while but how I missed all the vibrancy, the colours, sounds and smells, of Ubud.
It was already very hot by the time we made it out mid-morning, so not the best time to be walking around while recovering from a virus.
I’m under strict instructions from my Ayurvedic doctor to rest, although I find that very hard! I don’t like sitting still for too long, and I’m getting cabin fever now.
Hopefully, my daughter will be feeling better tomorrow, and we can take more time out of the house.
