A DAILY MEAL PLAN TO BALANCE THE QUALITIES OF KAPHA - COOL, HEAVY, SLOW, cloudy, stable & oily.

To overcome the heaviness, stagnancy and coolness of Kapha, we generally look to warm and light foods with pungency and astringency to help get the blood flowing, such as well-spiced lentils and beans with plenty of leafy and cruciferous vegetables and good fats in moderation. It is imperative Kapha avoid cold, heavy and overly sweet foods.

Breakfast

besan protein pancakes

An excellent breakfast or lunch for Kapha and Pitta and great for kids too. This dish is particularly good for clearing congestion and treating asthma and bronchitis. It is a medicinal food for diabetes patients.

LUNCH

ALOO Gobi (Cauliflower potato)

A family favourite for lunch and dinner. Fine to have year-round and for all constitutions.

DINNER

BLOOD TONIC BEETROOT SOUP

This nourishing soup is great to build and cleanse the blood and support healthy skin. Beetroots are slightly warming, making them ideal for Kapha.
